The UKBA has changed Immigration Rules on 6 April, 2011. UK Work Permit Applicants will now face a salary requirements for indefinite leave to remain applicaitons. It is now requirement under Immigration Rules that the UK Worker Permit Tier 2 Holder’s employer must have written confirmation from their employer or sponsor to substantiate the fact that they are being paid at or above the appropriate reate for their job as set out in the UK Work Permit Tier 2 codes of Practice.

In additoin and from 31 October, 2011 the UKBA Home Office announced further amendments to the Immigration Rules. UK Work Permit holders and Tier 2 migrants will be required to prove in writing that they are being paid at or above the appropriate rate for their job. Please keep in mind this requirement is certainly in addition to the employer’s confirmation.

UKBA Home Office now requires from all the UK Work Permit Holder and Tier 2 Work Permit applicants who are applying for indefinite leave to remain in the UK under Work Permit or Tier 2 category that they must include:

1. A Wageslip and a personal bank or building society statement; or

2. A payslip and a building society pass book

For last two months I have been trying to secure a one day Tier 1 Post Study Work PSW appointment with the UKBA Home Office but couldn’t avail it due to online system fully packed up already. The nearest appointment available at PEO Croydon was in March, 2012. I had to go back to India for good in November, 2011 and really anxious how it would be materialised without having Tier 1 PSW visa endorsed.
